I
met Fred Valis
over 30 years ago when we both worked at Immendorf Investigations in
San
Francisco. He had come from a P. I. job in New York, where he had
worked
undercover cracking a smuggling case and had previously worked for
Eastern
Airlines as the director of security at JFK.
We immediately hit it off and soon made plans to leave and begin our own agency. Fred became PI number 7121 in the state of California. Over the quarter century, Fred worked every conceivable type of case, worker's compensation fraud, drug cases (contracting to the DEA), organized crime (contracting to the FBI), entertainment industry security and executive protection. Fred and Danno's exploits in thousands of cases are the subject of an upcoming book. Fred died of a massive heart
attack
on April 12th, 2005, leaving the world a better place then when he
entered
it. Learn more about Fred by going to Fred's MySpace page. To read

Dan
"Danno" Hanks
has been called the "private investigator to the media and the stars".
However, that title covers just the tip of the iceberg. Danno has a
seven
page "rap sheet" showing more than fifty arrests and three terms in
state
and federal prisons. In 1976, while imprisoned at San Quentin, the
violence
that he witnessed made him vow to never do anything ever to return to
prison
& to turn his life around.
Upon his release, he discovered that he could contribute to society (and stay out of jail) by using his unique knowledge working the other side of the law - as a private investigator and a Confidential Informant for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) & the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). He teamed up with Fred Valis the following year, and has since been responsible for solving thousands of theft, fraud, and drug cases. After working with Fred Valis for 25 years, he obtained a Certificate of Rehabilitation and was granted his own private investigator's license. He has worked as a story consultant to writer George Gallo & has been a technical advisor on many police & crime dramas. Currently, Sony Pictures Television & Eric Tannenbaum are developing a dramatic television series based on his & Fred's exploits. He has been the in-house investigator for HARD COPY, A CURRENT AFFAIR, INSIDE EDITION & FOX UNDERCOVER, as well as the producer of the NBC television special "Caught in the Act" for Dick Clark Productions. He still does investigation work for the entertainment industry and on occasion for his good friend, investigative reporter Diane Dimond Read
